I’ve been a journalist for close to 20 years, but I got my start in Television.
I studied television production at Mohawk College, and went on to work at a number of TV stations in Toronto and Saskatchewan. I'm also a proud alumnus of the gone-but-not forgotten Rogers Community Television volunteer program.
I've worked in television news, both shooting and editing, as well as in the control room.
My most recent full-time television job was directing Daytime for CTV Regina, but I've also worked in master control.
As for my newspaper career, I ran small-town papers in Alberta and covered crime amd breaking news for the Calgary Sun and Calgary Herald, which earned me a National Newspaper Award nomination for my coverage of the 2017 Waterton wildfires.
I've also covered Toronto City Hall and Queen's Park for the Toronto Sun, and later to Parliament Hill to cover federal politics for the National Post and Toronto Sun.
I’ve done a stint in PR too, so I know both sides of the message.
When I’m not working, I'm riding my motorcycle, playing the bass or spending time with my family.
